P.E. Fitness Testings

Life-Long Fitness students will be performing the Presidential Physical Fitness tests throughout the course to assess, monitor, and improve their individual physical fitness levels. Tests include: Push-ups, sit-ups, 1 mile run, shuttle run, and sit and reach. Each student has an individual log to record their scores/results. Grades for each test are based on the combination of reaching the standard for their age and gender, effort, and improvement. LIFE-LONG FITNESS: If a student has an EXCUSED absence from class or cannot participate due to an illness or injury verified with a parent/guardian NOTE, he or she has the opportunity to make up the "0" for full credit. For EACH absence or day of no participation the student can complete the "make-up" assignment:

 

  1. Pick up a P.E. Make-Up Assignment form in the gym.
  2. Complete 30 minutes of continuous physical activity outside of class.
  3. List and describe the physical activity completed on the form.
  4. Have a parent/guardian sign the bottom of the form to verify participation.

*A correctly filled out and returned form will earn a student credit for 1 day.


 

 

COMPUTER APPLICATIONS: Students are held accountable for staying on track with the website calendar. 

 

Assignments: If a student is absent it is his or her responsibility to check the online calendar and make up the assignments he or she missed.

 

Assessments: Students are responsible for scheduling a time with the teacher to make up the assessment.
